CRN helps member organizations grow—and build their capacity to serve communities—through a wide range of training programs, capacity-building, and education efforts on key issues.

We can customize training to your staff, board, or community leadership on topics ranging from purchasing property to cooperative real estate, governance to overcoming NIMBY, federal housing policy to using bonds. Give us a call!

CRN's annual training series for learning technical development skills and strategies for community empowerment and reinvestment. Fall 2025-2026 Empowerment Series registration is open to individuals outside the Chicago Metro area.

Formed 40 years ago to support the work of community-based organizations, CRN has provided technical assistance to many institutions and leaders over time.
