Join CRN at the table!

Chicago just inaugurated a new mayor, treasurer, and City Council. With these exciting changes we also must work towards making a more equitable city. As Chicago continues to lose population and the supply of affordable housing declines, we need stronger policies and programs. We would like to use this moment to collaborate with you about affordable housing issues within your communities at our event On The Table: Affordable Housing, Community Development, and Making a More Equitable Chicago.

We will discuss property taxes, the decline of affordable rental units, disinvestment, gentrification, and other topics regarding affordable housing. CRN would also like to talk about our new Center for Shared Ownership in partnership with the Chicago Community Loan Fund. This Center will facilitate leadership and provide assistance and intervention at the property level for cooperative housing models.

Displacement from gentrification and disinvestment is occurring in neighborhoods across the city. It is crucial that we join together and share our concerns. We can form potential solutions and ensure that the Lightfoot administration receives our recommendations in a memo as part of the Chicago Community Trust's "On the Table" initiativeAs Chicago continues to change, we must ensure that we are all included. Be part of the conversation with us and join our On the Table discussion.

Space is limited, so please RSVP!
